Microsoft Office 2013 Show As Working Elsewhere Calendar Dropdown

I decided to take the plunge and install Microsoft Office 2013 preview on my work notebook.  Overall it’s very different looking than Microsoft Office 2010 but the improved layout and new features outweigh the new look.  One thing I noticed in creating a new calendar entry was Working Elsewhere from the Show As dropdown.  Of course there is your typical Free, Busy, Tentative, and Out of Office but this new one intrigues me as now there might be a way to enter an appointment with the intention of working but not to “busy” to accept meeting requests.  I decided to try it and shortly after saving it I received an email saying my iPad failed to sync(because my iPad is setup to push).  I then synced my Windows Phone (because I have my Windows Phone setup to sync every hour) and received another email saying my Windows Phone failed to sync.  I viewed my iPad and Windows Phone and on both devices the calendar entry wasn’t there.

The only thing I can think of is these mobile devices do not yet know about the newly added Show As field since Microsoft Office 2013 is just in the preview state.  I really want to use this field but I fear I won’t be able to until Microsoft and Apple get around to adding it to their mobile devices.  For now I’ll send a frown and cross my fingers by the release date this will be updated on my mobile devices.
